I was commissioned by WIRED magazine to illustrate an online article about Gus Weiss, a brilliant and mysterious White House adviser who was instrumental in defeating the Soviet Union in the Cold War. With a low profile and a brilliant mind, Weiss devised great strategies using cutting-edge technology and an intricate spy network to deceive the Soviets and stay one step ahead of their opponents.
